Why carriers switch to us

Most dispatch services book loads. That is the easy part.

Any dispatcher can find a load board and take the first thing that pays. The difference shows up in what you actually clear at the end of the month, after deadhead, after detention you never billed for, after a broker that pays in 45 days instead of 30.

  • We check broker credit before we book, not after you deliver
  • We calculate rate per mile including deadhead, not just the line haul
  • We bill detention, layover and TONU instead of eating it
  • We plan your week as a route, not as one load at a time
  • We send paperwork the same day so your factoring funds faster
  • We tell you when a load is not worth taking

The honest part

A dispatcher cannot raise the market. When rates are soft, they are soft for everybody, and anyone promising you a number regardless of conditions is selling you something.

What we can do is make sure you are not the carrier leaving money on the table. Correct lane selection, accessorials actually billed, deadhead minimized and paperwork that does not delay your pay. Over a year that is the difference between a truck that works and a truck that quits.

Talk to a Dispatcher

Getting started

From first call to first load

Intake call

Equipment, authority status, insurance, home base, the lanes you want and the lanes you refuse. Fifteen minutes gets us what we need.

Paperwork

Signed dispatch agreement, a carrier packet, W-9, insurance certificate and a limited authorization so we can set you up with brokers.

Broker setup

We get you packeted with the brokers that run your lanes, so when a good load comes up we are not waiting on onboarding.

Dispatch begins

Loads booked, rate confirmations sent to you, week planned ahead. Most carriers are under a load within 48 hours of signing.

Equipment

What we dispatch

If you run it and it is legal, we can probably book it. These are the trailer types we work every week.

Dry Van

53 foot and 48 foot van freight, the backbone of most small carrier operations. Consistent volume, reliable brokers.

Reefer

Temperature controlled produce, frozen and pharma. Higher rates, tighter appointments, more paperwork discipline required.

Flatbed

Steel, lumber, machinery and building material. We check securement requirements and tarping before we commit you.

Step Deck

Taller freight that will not clear on a flatbed, plus light over dimensional work with permits handled.

Power Only

Pulling broker trailers and drop and hook programs. Good for keeping wheels moving between regular loads.

Hotshot

Class 3 to 5 with gooseneck trailers. Smaller loads, faster turns, a different broker pool that we know well.

Box Truck

Straight truck and expedited freight, including the smaller operators that most dispatch services will not take on.

Car Hauler

Open and enclosed auto transport, dealer moves and auction runs, booked on the auto specific load boards.

Important

We are not a broker

Trucking Services Solutions Corp. is a dispatch and back office service acting as your agent under a written agreement. We do not hold freight broker authority, we do not take title to freight, and we do not stand between you and the broker on payment. The rate confirmation is between you and the broker, and the money goes to you.

That distinction matters legally and it matters to your bottom line. Full detail on our Carrier Agreement Terms page.

Questions

Quick answers

Do I need my own authority?

For dispatch, yes. You need active MC and USDOT authority, current insurance meeting broker minimums and a W-9. If you do not have authority yet, our startup package gets you there in roughly three to five weeks.

Is there a contract?

There is a written dispatch agreement, which protects both of us. There is no minimum term. Either side can end it with written notice as set out in the agreement.

Do you take a percentage before or after my costs?

Our percentage applies to the gross line haul on the rate confirmation. We do not take a percentage of fuel surcharge, detention or accessorials that we bill on your behalf.

Can I refuse a load you find?

Always. You are the carrier and it is your truck. We book nothing without your approval on the rate and the lane.

How fast can I start?

If your authority and insurance are active, most carriers are booked on a load within 48 hours of signing and completing broker setup.
