Compliance Disclaimer
What our compliance service is, what it is not, and where responsibility for regulatory compliance actually sits.
Updated September 22, 2026
This page is important and applies to every compliance, filing and regulatory service we provide. Please read it before engaging those services.
1. We Are Not Attorneys
Trucking Services Solutions Corp. provides administrative compliance support and filing services. We are not a law firm, we do not employ attorneys in the provision of these services, and nothing we provide is legal advice. We do not represent carriers in enforcement proceedings, administrative hearings, civil penalty matters or appeals. Where your situation calls for a transportation attorney, we will tell you so.
2. We Are Not Accountants
IFTA preparation, Form 2290 filing and similar work are administrative filing services based on the data you provide. We are not certified public accountants and we do not provide tax, accounting or financial advice. Consult a qualified accountant for tax planning, entity structure and financial decisions.
3. Responsibility Remains With The Carrier
Under federal regulation, the motor carrier is responsible for compliance. That responsibility cannot be transferred to a service provider by contract. Engaging us does not shift legal responsibility away from you for:
- Compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Hours of service compliance and the accuracy of logs
- Driver qualification and fitness for duty
- Vehicle maintenance, inspection and roadworthiness
- Drug and alcohol program obligations
- Accurate reporting to any agency
- Safe and lawful operation of your equipment
4. We Rely On Your Information
Every filing, record and file we prepare is built from information you supply, including mileage, fuel purchases, driver documentation, equipment details and operational data. We do not independently audit or verify that information. Incomplete or inaccurate information produces incomplete or inaccurate filings, and responsibility for the accuracy of what you give us is yours.
Deliberately providing false information to us for a regulatory filing is something we will not participate in. We will not falsify a log, backdate a document, alter an inspection record or prepare a filing we know to be untrue, and we will end the relationship over it.
5. No Guarantee Of Outcome
- We do not guarantee that any application or filing will be approved
- We do not guarantee any processing timeline, which is controlled by the agency
- We do not guarantee that you will pass a safety audit, compliance review or roadside inspection
- We do not guarantee any particular safety rating or CSA score
- We do not guarantee that you will avoid violations, fines or penalties
What we do is prepare your documentation properly, track your deadlines, and put you in the best position we can. The outcome depends on your actual operation.
6. Regulations Change
Federal and state transportation regulations, filing requirements, deadlines, fees and thresholds change regularly. Information on this website, including the deadline table on our compliance page, is general guidance current as of the update date shown and may become outdated. Always verify current requirements with FMCSA or the relevant state agency, or ask us to confirm for your specific operation before relying on anything here.
7. Agency Fees
Government and state filing fees are set by the agencies, are separate from our service fee, are paid directly to the agency, and are not marked up by us. Agency fees change without notice to us.
8. Deadline Alerts Are A Courtesy
We track deadlines and alert you before they fall due as part of our compliance service. Those alerts are a support tool, not a guarantee. Systems fail, contact details go stale and mail goes missing. You remain responsible for knowing and meeting your own regulatory deadlines.
9. Drug And Alcohol Programs
Where we enroll you in a consortium or third party administrator program, that program is operated by the consortium under its own terms. We coordinate enrollment and administration but do not perform collections, laboratory analysis or medical review officer functions, and we are not responsible for the acts or omissions of those providers.
10. Audits And Enforcement
If you are selected for an audit, compliance review or investigation, we can assemble documentation and help you prepare. We cannot represent you before the agency, we cannot speak for you in an enforcement proceeding, and we do not control the outcome. For matters involving significant penalties or a proposed unsatisfactory rating, engage a transportation attorney.
11. Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Florida law, our liability in connection with compliance services is limited to the fees you paid us for the specific service in question. We are not liable for fines, civil penalties, out of service orders, revocation, downtime, lost revenue or consequential damages arising from your regulatory obligations.
